Lucia Anne Jones

Lucia Anne Jones, 55, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021, at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. Memorial services will be held at 3:30 P.M., Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Lucia was born December 12, 1965, in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Gary and Elaine (Ilsley) Gordon. She lived in Augusta, Kansas 16 years, moving in 2009 to Ottawa. She graduated from Agoura High School, Agoura, California with the class of 1984. Lucia continued her education and was 40 hours shy of a 4-year psychology degree. On December 12, 2016, Lucia was united in marriage to Kelly Jones in Ottawa. He survives of the home. Lucia was employed for several years as a home health aide. She also worked 7 years at the front desk of the Sure Stay Hotel in Ottawa, and always had a smile for the guests checking in. She enjoyed her pet cats, Poppy and Tar Tar, driving her car and pickup, going out for dinner and movies, and flying. Lucia loved watching law enforcement shows, standup comics, and animal shows including Meerkat. Her family was very important, and she loved the time they spent together. She was preceded in death by her father Gary Gordon. Survivors also include three children, Justin Rowland (Leslie) of Clearwater, Kansas, Kyle Sprague (Anna) of Coffeyville, Kansas, and Michelle Bryant of El Dorado, Kansas; mother, Elaine Gordon of Las Vegas, Nevada, and six grandchildren.
