Louis Nunez Jr., of Ottawa, Kansas, a beloved figure in his community, passed away on February 19, 2025, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Lenexa, Kansas. Born on September 21, 1950, in Kansas City, Kansas, Louis was the cherished son of Louis and Juanita (Blanco) Nunez, both of whom preceded him in death.

Louis's commitment to hard work was evident throughout his career; he dedicated many years of his life as a meat cutter at Iowa Beef Packers. His professional journey was marked by an unwavering dedication to quality and service, earning him the respect of colleagues and patrons alike.

A graduate of Ottawa High School, Louis completed his education in 1968 and carried the values instilled during that time throughout his life. He was a former member of Sacred Heart Church, where he found a sense of community and belonging that enriched his life.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Louis nurtured a deep love for music, often sharing his talent for playing guitar with friends and family. His kind heart extended to all living creatures, as he had a profound affinity for any and all animals.

In addition to his professional and personal achievements, Louis is survived by his brother, Rick Nunez (significant other Glenda Wyrick) who reside in Lee's Summit, Missouri. He is also remembered fondly by his nephew, Ricky Nunez Jr., and his niece, Nicole Nunez, who will carry on his legacy of love and kindness.
