Lorraine Manlove

Lorraine Darlene Manlove age 84, passed away on June 20, 2012 at the Sweet Life Center at Rosehill in Shawnee, Kansas. Darlene, as she was known for, was born on November 6, 1927 in Ottawa, Kansas to Roy Alfred and Nellie Rose Howell. She graduated from Wellsville High in 1945. Darlene was united in marriage on May 26, 1946 to George Frank Manlove in Ottawa,Kansas. She and her husband lived in the Paola area most of their married life. She was a member of the Paola United Methodist Church and was very active there along with the Red Hat Society and the American Legion Auxiliary. Darlene enjoyed sewing,cooking,her family and friends where the highlight of her life, even at the end with her short stay at the Sweet Life facility she had made an impact on the staff. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Survivors are her daughters, Sharyl and husband John Stack of Shawnee, KS., Lori and husband Bob Mitten of Tulsa Oklahoma, 3 grandchildren Melissa Daniels, John Stack and Clark Mitten and great grandchildren John and Molly Stack and Kaitlynn Daniels. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Paola United Methodist Church.
