Lorraine D. Hendrickson

Lorraine D. Hendrickson, 86, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Ransom Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 5, 2018, at Evergreen Mound Cemetery. Lorraine was born July 8, 1931, in Pomona, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas and Lydia E. (Fleming) Burns. She was a lifelong Franklin County resident, attending Ottawa High School. Lorraine was united in marriage to Velmore Arland Hendrickson July 11, 1946 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Hendrickson; sister, Carolee Gregory; great grandson, Rex Moore; and daughter-in-law, Donna Hendrickson. Survivors include her four children, Colleen Lindeman and husband Michael of Ottawa, Lora Bean and husband Michael of Pomona, Caroline Hendrickson and Brenn Wagner of Baldwin City, and Velmore Hendrickson of Kansas City, Missouri; step-sister, Pat Maxwell of Ottawa; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Lorraine was a devoted lifelong homemaker. She loved taking care of her family and gardening.
