Lorine Turner, 81, of Waverly, Kansas, formerly of Princeton, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Kansas. Family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, April 28, 2017, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Lorine was born Monday, February 10, 1936, in Garnett, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph Mains and Thelma (Sanders) Rapper. She was a longtime Princeton resident, moving in 2014 to Waverly. Lorine graduated from Garnett High School with the class of 1950. Lorine was united in marriage with Jessie James “Bud” Turner February 29, 1964, in Garnett. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her father, Ralph Mains; mother, Thelma Mains-Rapper; and brothers, Larry Mains and Harold Mains. She is survived by her son, Clayton Turner and wife Donna of Princeton; brother, Floyd Mains of Greeley; twin sister, Florine Morgan; two grandchildren, Frank Turner and wife Marissa of Garnett and Dalton Turner of Princeton; step granddaughter, Christina Morgan and husband Arthur of Waverly; great-granddaughter, Milla Turner; and four step great-grandchildren. Lorine was a homemaker. She also cleaned houses in Ottawa for many years. She was a member of Ruhamah Baptist Church, Rantoul. Lorine enjoyed bowling, dancing, traveling, and loved tigers.
