Lois Vaneti Carey was born July 8, 1914, at Pomona, Kansas. She was the daughter of Emory L. and Dolly M. (Nichols) Brubaker. A lifelong resident of Franklin County, Kansas, Lois made her home in Ottawa, until her death Saturday, August 28, 2004, at the age of ninety years. Lois was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ottawa. She was one who appreciated nature and really enjoyed working in her yard. She also liked to crochet and created numerous lovely items for her family and friends to enjoy. She liked to watch game shows on T.V., enjoyed playing Bingo, and was a serious card player! Carey at Garnett, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 3, 2002. She is also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Marlin Brubaker and Theron Brubaker.
