Lois M. Nitcher, 94, of Pomona, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Rock Creek of Ottawa. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the Rock Creek Church of Christ, 2264 S. Hwy 59, Ottawa. Family will meet with friends from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., Friday, June 14, 2019, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin County, Kansas. Lois was born November 9, 1924, in Burlingame, Kansas, the daughter of Lloyd and Marie (Stevenson) Wilkinson. She lived in Ottawa, moving after her marriage to Pomona, where she was a near lifelong resident. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1943. Lois was united in marriage to Lorenzo W. Nitcher October 29, 1946, in Lyndon, Kansas. He preceded her in death on April 11, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister. Survivors include four children, Lee Nitcher and wife Bonnie, Lorraine Reichard, Jeanette Lewis and Pamela Olson and husband Duane all of Pomona; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Lois was a devoted lifelong homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Ottawa; EHU; Greenwood Cemetery Board; and the Greenwood District Voting Board. Lois enjoyed working as a “Pink Lady” with the Ransom Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. The family suggests memorial contributions to Rock Creek Church of Christ c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
