Lois M. (Cole) Keim-Dodd, daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and grandma – Lois passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Ottawa Retirement Village. Family will meet with friends from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Private burial Highland Cemetery, Ottawa Lois was born March 8, 1933, to Jodia and Gladys (Boswell) Cole of Centropolis, Kansas. Lois was raised in Centropolis where she attended elementary school and graduated from Appanoose High School. Lois was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Keim in 1950. Bob recently passed away in 2015. After their divorce, Lois found love again and married Arnold Dodd. They enjoyed traveling and family time until Arnold’s passing in 1986. Lois lived and worked in Ottawa. She was a devoted mother and friend. She worked at several local businesses in the area but her favorite job was working as a dispatcher for the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. When Lois wasn’t at work she loved to travel, camp, garden, make jokes, take pictures, and bowl. The thing she loved the most was being a mom and a grandmother. Her family was her life. Lois is survived by a brother, Alvin Cole and wife Bonnie of Houston, Texas. Her two sisters, both living in the Houston area, Rosemary Turner and Dolores Morgan. Lois has two sons of Ottawa, David Keim and Tony Keim and wife Beth. Her daughter, Cindy Johnson also lives in Ottawa. Lois has seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her father, Jodia Cole; mother, Gladys Turner; sister, Nancy; two infant sisters; both husbands, Robert Keim and Arnold Dodd; stepmother, Faye Cole; and stepfather, Wilse Turner. Lois will be fondly remembered and missed by her family and friends. The family suggests memorial contributions to RMH Charitable Association c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
