Lois Elaine Palenske

Lois Elaine 'Fritz' Palenske was born December 23, 1941, at Marshall, Missouri. She was the daughter of Ralph Finis and Helen Louise (Hinton) Nichols. Lois grew up in Missouri, moving to Topeka, Kansas in 1968, Carbondale in 1970, Osage City in 1983, and Salina in 2000, where she made her home, until her death Monday, March 8, 2004, at the age of sixty-two years. Lois attended schools in Marshall, Missouri, graduating from Marshall High School with the class of 1959. From 1982 until 1990, Lois worked as a secretary for Hallmark Cards in Osage City. Mrs. Palenske was a devoted member, and served as pianist, of Midway Baptist Church in Marshall, Missouri. Lois loved playing the piano. She also liked to read and do embroidery work. Her greatest enjoyment, however, came from spending time with her family and many friends. On February 1, 1969, Lois was united in marriage with Merlin Leroy Pearson at Ottawa.
