Lois A. Stewart, age 79, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Midland Hospice, Topeka, Kansas. A private graveside service was held at Evergreen Mound Cemetery, Ottawa. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2020, at Calvary Baptist Church, 925 W. 7th Street, Ottawa. The service will be live streamed on YouTube, available under Calvary Baptist Church of Ottawa. Lois was born on Wednesday, July 16, 1941 in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of W. Lee and Irene (Arnold) Roberts She was a lifelong Franklin County resident. Lois graduated from Princeton High School in Princeton, Kansas with the class of 1959. On Sunday, August 2, 1959, Lois was united in marriage with Vernon L. Stewart at Ottawa, Kansas. He survives of their home. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Irene Roberts. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy McDonald and her husband, Kevin of Topeka, Kansas and sons, Loren Stewart and his wife, Kathy and Larry Stewart and his wife, Marie all of Ottawa, Kansas; sisters, Patsy Lowe and her husband, Jack of Amana, Iowa and Betty Berkley and her husband, Ed of Belton, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. She was a former member of the First Christian Church in Ottawa and later a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Ottawa. Lois was also a member of the Franklin County 4-H. Lois was a farm wife and homemaker. She also worked in customer service at Butler’s Florist in Ottawa in the mid 1970’s and helped to transport special needs students in the 1990’s. Lois liked sewing, reading, music, tending to her flower garden and sending greeting cards. She enjoyed traveling, especially to South Dakota and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
