Lloyd Edward Vogh, 82, of Pomona, Kansas, passed away, Monday June 24, 2024, at his home.

Visitation will be held 5:30-7:30pm, Monday, July 8, 2024, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa.

Inurnment Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Kansas.

Lloyd was born Sunday, May 10, 1942, in Annandale, Minnesota, the son of Edward and Myrtle (Moody) Vogh.

He lived in the Franklin County area for the past thirty years moving there from Lake Elsinore, California.

Lloyd graduated from Morningside High School in Inglewood, California, with the class of 1960.

He was united in marriage on March 3, 1967, in Bell California, to Linda S. Moore. She preceded him in death on February 26, 2023.

Lloyd started out as a union carpenter after he and Linda had moved to Texas in 1971. He worked at General Battery Corp. for five years before becoming a machinist for several different aircraft fastener companies for twenty-five years. He became self-employed, owning a small trailer park and a mobile home repair company out of the home. He retired in 2012.

He enjoyed working in the shop, working with wood, building decks, riding his side-by-side and 4-wheelers, and attending truck and tractor pulls, Lloyd loved to dance, listen to Elvis music, and watch the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs, but most of all, he loved hanging out with family and friends, drinking beer, and having the occasional whiskey and coke. He was a hard and stern man. Lloyd said what he meant and meant what he said. He enjoyed talking about racing cars and motorcycles, swimming, wrestling, camping, and the interesting story of how he met his beautiful red headed bride. He was tough as nails and a prankster, but always treated the ladies like queens.

Along with his wife Linda, Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Myrtle and daughter Sheri Vogh Lothert.

Survivors include son Alan Vogh (Stephanie Totten) of Pomona, Kansas; three grandchildren Morgan Lothert of Anchorage, Alaska, Brianne Lothert of Topeka, Kansas, and Ty Voghof Pomona, Kansas; and one great granddaughter Nova Vogh of Pomona, Kansas.
