Lizzie Lee Lann, age 85, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Saturday, July 27, 2002, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. She was the daughter of Pete Lann and Daisy (Bennett) Lann. At the age of three Lizzie moved with her family from Virgina to Franklin County. In 1942 she moved to Ottawa where she made her home until her death. Ms. Lann attended schools in Centropolis. For forty years Lizzie was employed as a seamstress for Bruce's and later H.D. Lee Company, both of Ottawa. She enjoyed being outside tending to her garden and flowers. Daily Lizzie would water and feed the birds in her yard. She is also survived by several cousins and a close family friend, Helen Diamond of Ottawa. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Charles William Lann, who died in 1925. SERVICES: Family and friends will meet 10:00a.m. Tuesday, July 30,2002 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery for graveside services. OFFICIANT: Rev. William Webber. INSTATE: Ms. Lann will lie instate at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00p.m. Monday.
