Lisa Gay Arnold-Seyler was born July 15, 1961, at Kansas City, Kansas. She was the daughter of Daryl Wayne and Joyce M. (Acton) Arnold. Lisa made her home in the Wellsville and Spring Hill areas, until her death Thursday, March 11, 2004, at the age of forty-two years. Lisa attended Wellsville High School with the class of 1979. She was a lifelong homemaker. She also ran a child's daycare out of her home in Spring Hill for thirteen years. She was a former member of Cornerstone Community Church in Olathe. Lisa was very loving and kind hearted and would spend her last penny, if she could help someone else. She always enjoyed the company of her family and friends and was always there to lend an ear when family or friends needed someone to talk to. Lisa had been ill a very long time but always had faith, even through all the pain her illness caused her. She kept her Bible by her bed, reading and re-reading, trying to make sure she understood, and called upon friends, when she didn't understand something, to make sure she was absorbing the correct meaning. A devoted wife and mother, she loved taking care of her sons, listening, giving advice, never being judgmental. A friendly, outgoing person, she got along with people of all ages, from the very young to the very old, and loved to laugh and make others laugh. She had a special fondness for angels and enjoyed collecting all kinds. She also enjoyed reading, watching movies and cooking for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. On March 3, 1978, Lisa was united in marriage with Nathan Brad Seyler at Wellsville. He survives of Ottawa. Lisa is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Joyce and Paul Perkins of Kansas City, Missouri; two sons, Nathan Seyler of Ottawa, Jeremy Seyler of Spring Hill; three sisters, Belinda M. Phillips of Olathe, Anita Bernauer of Gladstone, Missouri, Tara Arnold of Boonville, Missouri; two brothers, Rick Arnold of Richmond, Missouri, Robert Arnold of Richmond, Missouri; maternal grandfather, Albert Acton and his wife, Juanita, of Columbia, MO; maternal grandmother, Mary Kathrine Stuart of Camdenton, MO; and, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
