Linda Sue Longstaff, age 76 of Harris KS, and recently Nevada, Mo, passed away Thursday, September 26 at her home.
Linda was born on May 3rd, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas to Wilbert and Daurice (Tisdel) Thomas. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1966. Linda worked at the Johnson County Appraiser Office, and the front desk at Ammel Optometry Ottawa, Kansas, Super 8 Ottawa, Kansas, and Garnett Hotel and RV Park in Garnett, Kansas. She was a proud member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) and enjoyed family trips, holiday gatherings, family game nights, soap operas (especially General Hospital), watching professional wrestling, and playing computer solitaire and mahjong.
Linda was united in marriage to Lonnie Lee Longstaff in 1968 in Lawrence Kansas. They later divorced and remained friends. She was proceeded in death by Lonnie on September 23, 2020.
Linda is survived by two sisters: Verna Proctor, Basehor, Kansas and Joyce Thomas, Tonganoxie, Kansas; a brother: Robert (Bob) Thomas, Ottawa, Kansas; son Lonnie Linn Longstaff (wife Lesley) and granddaughter Bailey, Williamsburg, Kansas; daughter Lisa Rosebaugh, Harris, Kansas and grandson Devon (wife Kylea) and great-granddaughter Autumn, Harris, Kansas; grandson Jacob Rosebaugh, Tooele, UT, grandson Justin Rosebaugh (partner Faith) and great granddaughter Hadley, Nevada, MO.
Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 p.m., Friday, October 11, 2024 at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory Street, Ottawa, Kansas.
