Linda R. Yanez

Linda R. Yanez, age 61, of Pomona, Kansas, died Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas. She was born on Friday, March 10, 1950, in Long Beach, California, the daughter of Gene Ralph and Georgia (Taylor) Connell. She moved from California to Pomona in 1992. Linda graduated from Camarillo (California) High School with the class of 1968. She then attended a computer technical school in California. From the mid 1990’s to the early 2000’s, Linda worked as a receptionist at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. On Saturday, January 25, 1975, Linda was united in marriage with Dan Yanez in Camarillo, California. He survives of their home. She is survived by her: Husband-Dan Yanez of the home; Mother-Georgia Orris of Pomona, Kansas; Father-Gene Ralph Connell and his wife, Dorothy, of Woodland Hills, California; Son-John Yanez and his wife, Sandra, of Spring Hill, Kansas; Son-Brian Yanez of Ottawa, Kansas; Son-Garrett Yanez and his wife, Amanda, of Spring Hill, Kansas; Sister-Judy Duncan and her husband, Lonnie, of Pomona, Kansas; Brother-Gary Orris and his wife D’Anna of Fairbanks, Alaska; Brother-Darwin Orris and his wife, Joyce, of Phoenix, Arizona; Brother-Terry Orris of Richmond, Washington; Grandchildren (8)-Ashley Yanez, Josh Yanez, Alex Yanez, Jason Yanez, Brandon Yanez, Elayna Yanez, Makayla Yanez, and Ava Yanez. She is preceded in death by her: Stepfather-Clifford Raymond Orris and a Brother-Steve Orris. SERVICES: Memorial Services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011. CEMETERY: Inurnment will be at Highland Cemetery in Ottawa, Kansas.
