Linda K. Bridwell

Linda K. Bridwell, 75, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Ottawa Retirement Village. Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 30, 2016 at First Southern Baptist Church in Ottawa, Kansas. Gravside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Walnut Grove, Missouri. She was born on Thursday, March 15, 1941 in Greene County, Missouri, the Ralph and Elizabeth (Wells) Hawkins. She lived thirty-one years in Greene County and seven years in Springfield, Missouri and moved to Ottawa, Kansas in 2013. Linda graduated from Walnut Grove High School with the class of 1959 and from technical colleges. Linda was a member of Eastern Star in Missouri from 1967 until 2013 and joined Union Chapter #15, Order of the Eastern Star in Ottawa. In 1959 Linda was united in marriage with James E. Bridwell. They were divorced in 1992. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Elizabeth Hawkins; brother, Harry Hawkins and sister, Ann Daniel. Linda is survived by her son, Jeffrey Bridwell and his wife, Denise of Ottawa, Kansas; daughter, Jennifer Henderson of Springfield, Missouri; three grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ben Daniel and several nieces and nephews.
