Linda Hunt

Linda Catherine Hunt was born on Tuesday, November 11, 1947, in Dodge City, Kansas. She was the daughter of Wilfred William and Virginia Rose (Timmermeyer) Bugner. She grew up in Eureka and Wellsville, moving to Ottawa in 1963. She also lived in Topeka and returned to Wellsville. In 2000, she returned to Ottawa, in Franklin County, Kansas, where she made her home until her death on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at the age of sixty-one years. Linda graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1965. She was employed twenty-four years by the state of Kansas as a Driver’s License Examiner. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Ottawa, Kansas. Linda was a lovely lady. She was a devoted daughter, mother and grandmother and so proud of her grandchildren. She was a dear friend to many and always ready to help when needed. Linda also loved her flowers and enjoyed her garden time. She is survived by her mother, Virginia Bugner of Ottawa, Kansas; two daughters, Debbie Hunt of Baldwin City, Kansas, Brygida Frazier of Springfield, Missouri; three sisters, Mary Koorstad and her husband, Bob, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Ellen Lancaster and her husband, John, of Redfield, Kansas, Jean Bell and her husband, Greg, of Mesa, Arizona; three brothers, James Bugner and his wife, Lisa, of Fulton, Kansas, Gerald Bugner and Julie Brooks, of Olathe, Kansas, Donald Bugner and his wife, Deb, of Ottawa, Kansas; four grandchildren, Kim Frazier, Kayla Frazier, Emily Philbrook, Catherine Philbrook; and one great-grandchild, Olivia Ivey. She is preceded in death by her father, Wilfred Bugner. Friends may pay their respects after 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Family will meet with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary after a rosary is said at 6 p.m. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Ottawa. Memorial contributions may be sent to Midland Hospice or Franklin County Cancer Foundation in care of Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa KS 66067.
