Lillian Mae Feuerborn

August 24, 1905 — February 13, 2003

Lillian Mae 'Peg' Feuerborn was born August 24, 1905, at Chanute, Kansas. She was the daughter of Myrtle Huffman. She was raised in Chanute. After marriage, she lived in Bush City, Kansas, Rantoul, Kansas, Camden Point, Missouri, Ottawa, Kansas, and Globe, Arizona, before moving to Falls City, Nebraska, in 1990, where she made her home until her death Thursday, February 13, 2003, at the age of ninety-seven years. Peg graduated from Chanute High School with the class of 1923. She was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Hazel Rebekah Lodge #175, both of Ottawa. She was a former member of Evelena Chapter #435, Order of the Eastern Star, Lane, Kansas. Peg enjoyed being a homemaker. She liked to crochet, creating many beautiful items for her family and friends. She loved to read and cook, and was well known for her homemade chicken and noodles. In March of 1924, Peg was united in marriage with Frank E. Boone at Chanute, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 19, 1959. On June 9, 1961, she was united in marriage with Hubert H. Feuerborn at Ottawa, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1978. She is also preceded in death by her mother; son, Charles Dean Boone; brother, Orville Paul Huffman; and, one granddaughter. She is survived by two sons, Robert O. Boone and his wife, Betty Ann, of Falls City, Nebraska, Duane Boone and his wife, Eula Mae, of Globe, Arizona; three daughters, Dora Mae Traul of Raymore, Missouri, Bette Jo Yackle and her husband, Warren, of Globe, Arizona, Linda Cadwallader and her husband, Skip, of Richmond, Kansas; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and, several great-great-grandchildren. SERVICES: Memorial graveside services and inurnment will be held at Highland Cemetery, 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2003. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Pastor Richard Dunn. IN STATE: Mrs. Feuerborn has been cremated. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.
