Leta Gay England

Leta Gay England, age 86, of Paola, Kansas passed away February, 13, 2025, at North Point Skilled Nursing Home in Paola, Kansas.

Leta was born in Wellsville, Kansas, the daughter of Richard and Gladys Sleppy. She attended school at Rock Creek in Wellsville. 

On May 17, 1957, she was united in marriage to Lester Eugene England, at First Lutheran Church in Paola. 

She worked as a circuit board operator at King Radio in Paola for over 14 years. She enjoyed going on vacations, playing bingo, baking, going to the casinos with her sister, and visiting with family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and two nieces, Linda Arnold Hyskell and Donna Smreker.

Surviving is her children, Lonnie England (Cindy), Mike England (April), Elaine England Brocker (Darrel), her sister and best friend, Joyce Sleppy Lile, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. As well as many nieces and nephews. 

Services will be held at Block Trinity Lutheran Church on February 17, 2025 with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. A funeral service will follow beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Block Cemetery.
