Lester L. Hoyt

Lester Les Hoyt, 56, of Ottawa, Kansas died on Thursday, February 12, 2009. He was born on Saturday, March 29, 1952, in Leavenworth, Kansas. He was the son of Lester Alexander and Mary Ruth (Campbell) Hoyt. Les lived in various locations including Nebraska, Colorado, Georgia, Missouri, and Kansas, returning to Pomona upon his retirement in 2004. Les graduated from Pomona High School with the class of 1970. He worked for John Deere over thirty years in various positions, retiring in 2004 as the Marketing & Promotions Manager of North America. During his retirement, he purchased K-68 Liquor in Pomona. On March 4, 1971, Les was united in marriage with Glenda Beebe in Pomona, Kansas. They shared thirty-eight years of marriage. She survives of their home. Brother-Jack Hoyt & his wife, Carolyn, of Atlanta, Ga. Brother-Doyle Hoyt & his wife, Donna, of Johnstown, Colo. Brother-Darrell Hoyt & his wife, Connie, of Pomona, Kan. Sister-in-law-Mary Lou Hoyt of Pomona, Kan.
