Leota M. Langley, 86, of Cabot, Arkansas, formerly of Pomona, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Cabot Health & Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 9, 2015, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona. Leota was born Sunday, June 9, 1929, in Quenemo, Kansas, the daughter of John and Mary (Rice) Welch. She lived in Pomona, Kansas, for many years moving to Pryor, Oklahoma. For the last five years Leota lived in Arkansas. She attended Pomona schools. Leota was united in marriage with Jack E. Langley, Sr. December 24, 1945, in Pomona. He preceded her in death October 30 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and infant daughter, Teresa Marie Langley. Survivors include three sons, Jack E. Langley, Jr. and wife Jean of Memphis, Tennessee, Dale L. Langley and wife Sharon of Platte City, Missouri, and Wayne D. Langley and wife Carolyn of Austin, Arkansas; five siblings, Charles Welch, Dorma Gibson, John Welch, Donna Hamilton, and Terry Welch; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Pomona Assembly of God. Leota was a loving, devoted homemaker who enjoyed being at home with her family and grandchildren.
