Leonard Dale Troll, 90 of Overland Park, KS, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2015 in Olathe at the home of his son, Timothy. He was born January 1, 1925 in Louisburg, KS, to the family of Anthony and Clara (Spielbusch) Troll (father & mother), along with younger brothers Winfred and Andrew. He graduated from Louisburg High School in 1943 and then served in WWII as part of the Air Force, stationed in the Pacific. After the war, he met his future wife, Sara L. Abel on a blind date. They married on November 24, 1951 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Louisburg, KS. About that time, Leonard began working for AT&T Longlines. He was ultimately promoted to Engineering and retired from AT&T in 1987. He remained a caring and tender provider throughout his years as husband, father, and friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by both parents, brother Win, and his wife of over 60 years, Sara. Survivors include four sons, Ricky Troll and wife Maureen, Overland Park, KS; Timothy Troll and wife Theresa, Olathe, KS; Tracy Troll and wife Lori, Overland Park, KS; Theodore Troll, Olathe, KS; five grandchildren, Eric, Karl, Sara, Courtney, and Emilee; one great grandchild, Aiden; and brother, Andy, Southport, NC.
