Leonard Aaron Miller, 58, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Friday, July 14, 2017. Cremation is planned. Family will meet with friends at 6:30 P.M., Friday, July 21, 2017, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Leonard was born May 18, 1959, at Gardner, Kansas, the son of Charles and Dottie (Watts) Miller. He was a longtime Franklin County resident. He graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1978. Leonard continued his education attending Fort Scott Community College and Massage Therapy School in Lawrence, becoming a certified massage therapist. Leonard was employed at King Radio in Ottawa from the late 1970s to mid-1990s in quality control. He later worked for the Franklin County Recycling Center from 2010 to 2017 as a recycling technician. He attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Leonard was a member of the Wellsville Saddle Club and the Kansas State Horse Show Circuit. Leonard loved being with his family and friends. He enjoyed his dogs and was known for telling jokes. Survivors include his two brothers, Lonnie Miller and wife Nancy of Northlake, Texas and Layman Miller and wife Carol of Ottawa; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and twin sister Leigh Ann Miller. The family suggests memorial contributions to Prairie Paws Animal Shelter c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
