Leona Morgan, 77, of Pomona, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Richmond Healthcare. Cremation is planned with a private family service to be held later. Leona was born January 7, 1942, in Anderson County, Kansas, the daughter of Frank Samuel Edward and Beatrice Anna (Roberts) Sulouff. She was raised in Harris, Kansas moving to Ottawa and later Pomona. She graduated from Garnett High School with the class of 1960. Survivors include her spouse, Lawton Ray Boyer of 35 years; three children, Debbie Monday of Ottawa, Doug Morgan and wife Linda of Pomona, and Mary Ann Gooding and husband Mark of Garnett; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Leona was employed as a supervisor with H.D. Lee in the 1980s and Gear For Sports of Lenexa, also as a supervisor, for several years. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed canning, working on the farm, making dolls and quilting. Leona also liked to hunt, fish, work in her flower and vegetable gardens, feed and watch the birds, and go mushroom hunting.
