Leona M. Cauffman, 96, of Quenemo, Kansas, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at Richmond Healthcare & Rehabilitation. Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held at the Community Revival Center Church, 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 8, 2013. Inurnment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Quenemo, Kansas. She was born on Thursday, May 10, 1917 in Waverly, Kansas. She was the daughter of Simon and Flora (Richey) North. She has been a resident of Quenemo for most of her life. Leona graduated from Fredonia High School with the class of 1935. She was a homemaker and ran a second-hand business. Leona was a member of the Community Revival Center Church. In 1936 Leona was united in marriage with Melvin Watkins in Fredonia, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1973. On May 6, 1974 Leona was united in marriage with Fred H. Waldroop in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1995. On June 29, 1998 Leona was united in marriage with Robert F. Cauffman at Enid, Oklahoma. He survives of the home. Also surviving are her five children, Reba Aquino of Princeton, Raymond Watkins of Ottawa, Melvin Watkins of Winfield, Alabama, Carolyn Willingham of Quenemo, and Steve Watkins of Quenemo; twenty-five grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Melvin Watkins; 2nd husband, Fred H. Waldroop; four sons, Clifford, Carl, Perry, and Floyd Watkins; parents, Simon and Flora North.
