Lee Edward Taylor, 76, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Saturday, February 23, 2002 at Wellsville Manor Care Center in Wellsville, Kansas. He was born February 11, 1926 in Rantoul, Kansas. Lee was a lifelong Franklin County resident. He graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1947. Lee worked as an assembler twelve years for Duke Manufacturing in Ottawa retiring in 1988. He earlier worked as a mechanic fourteen years for Bob White Motor Company, also of Ottawa. Mr. Taylor was a veteran of WWII. He served in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater from 1944 to 1946. Lee was a member of Ruhamah Baptist Church in Rantoul. On September 29, 1973 Lee was united in marriage with Ramona Nadean Landess at Rantoul, Kansas, She Survives of their home. Services: Funeral services will be held from Dengel & Son Mortuary, 2:00pm Wednesday, February 27, 2002. Officiating clergy: Pastor Richard Dunn & Pastor Richard Landess. In State: Mr. Taylor will lie in state after 1:00pm Monday to the service hour at Dengel & Son Mortuary, where the family will meet with friends 7-8 Tuesday evening.
