Lawrence Kim

Lawrence E. Kim, son of the late Edward and Emma (Thoden) Kim, went home to glory November 22, 2014. He is survived by his brother Eldon H. Kim (Peggy) of Sun City, AZ; sisters Vernita Mitchell of Topeka, KS and Marsena Hadlock (Don) of Paola, KS; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Melbourne Kim. Lawrence was a hard working country boy faithfully caring for his parents until the early 1980s at the farm southeast of Osawatomie. He then lived 12 years at his country home west of Paola on 68 Highway, and later lived in Paola at Maple Vista and Sunflowers Apartments. For the last three years, he made his home at Vintage Park in Paola where he considered the loving care of caregivers his family. Memorial contributions may be given to the Crossroads Hospice and sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 305 N. Pearl, Paola, KS, 66071.
