Larry R. Franklin

Larry R. Franklin, age 62, of Louisburg, KS, passed away, Saturday, January 26, 2013 at his home. Larry was born, in Kansas City, Missouri on September 8, 1950, to Leroy and Margaret Franklin. At the age of 10 his family moved to rural Louisburg. Here Larry attended school and graduated from Louisburg High School in 1968, and lived the remainder of his life. Larry was inducted into the Army in July of 1970 and proudly served until 1972. He was with BTroup 3dBn Cav 1st Cav Div. Larry was a Viet Nam Veteran. After the service Larry worked with his father and later was owner if Midwest Tree Experts. Larry"s love of animals, especially horses, let him to his last job, caring for horses at a stable. Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Franklin. Survivors include his father Leroy Franklin, Pleasanton, KS; two brothers Gary and Rick Franklin and one sister Patti Endecott. To honor Larry"s love of animals, in lieu of flowers donations will be accepted for an animal rescue organization.
