Larry Lee Masenthin, Jr., 33 ,of Garnett, Kansas died on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 He was born on Tuesday, April 10, 1973, in South Bend, Indiana. He grew up in Lyndon. He also lived in Melvern and Ottawa, moving to Garnett in 2004. Larry graduated from Lyndon High School with the class of 1991. While attending high school, he earned an automotive technology degree from Flint Hills Technical College in Emporia in 1991. He worked in maintenance and repairs in Garnett; five to six years at IBP in Emporia; Walmart Distribution in Ottawa; bridge construction; and Melvern Grain Elevator. He was baptised at Zion Lutheran Church in Vassar. He loved working with, training and riding horses and camping. He was a person who was always there to help others in need. Larry was united in marriage with Christi Hotchkiss. They were later divorced. On November 4, 2005, Larry was united in marriage with Lena Headrick in Burlington, Kansas. She survives of their home. Sister & brother-in-law-Donna & Mike Keener of San Antonio, Texas Brother & sister-in-law-Larry Wayne & Connie Masenthin of Neosho Rapids, Kan. Maternal Grandparents-Charles & Delores Brecheisen of Ottawa, Kan. Several - Nieces & Nephews He was preceded in death by: Paternal Grandparents-Albert & Carrie Masenthin Great niece-Mikala Urrutia SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2006. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Masenthin at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 p.m. Friday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 7:30 to 8:30 Friday evening. CEMETERY: Mr. Masenthin will be cremated following services, with inurnment at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2006, at Vassar Cemetery in Vassar, Kansas.
