Kristina Maria Vega

Kristina Maria 'Tina' Vega was born December 23, 1988, in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas, where she made her home until her death Wednesday, September 3, 2003, at the age of fourteen years. She was the daughter of Tanis and Tammy (Farrell) Gregg. She was presently a ninth grade student at Ottawa High School. Kristina loved music. She was an active young lady, whose favorite sport was swimming. Most important to Kristina were her family, friends and happiness. She was always ready to help and found good in everyone. Kristina is survived by her parents; two brothers, Jesse Vega and Sonny Gregg, both of the home; maternal grandparents, David and Judy Farrell, of Ottawa, Kansas; maternal grandmother, Phylis Johnson, of Ottawa, Kansas; paternal grandmother, Vivian Werntz of Ottawa, Kansas; paternal grandparents, Salvador and Linda Vega of Dodge City, Kansas; paternal grandfather, Jeramie Gregg of Ottawa, Kansas; maternal great-grandparents, Norman and Evelyn Horne of Ottawa, Kansas; paternal great-grandparents, Bill and Janice Gregg of Pomona, Kansas and Louie and Mary Vega of Ottawa, Kansas; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. SERVICES: Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held from the Ottawa University Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2003. Family will meet with friends at Dengel & Son Mortuary from 7 to 8:00 Monday evening. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. Katrina Palan.
