Kiffany Lee Mietchen

Kiffany Lee Mietchen, 19, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019. A celebration of Kiffany’s life will be held at 5:00 P.M., Monday, October 21, 2019 at the Community Foursquare Church, 119 E. 9th, Ottawa. Kiffany was born April 17, 2000 in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Bobby Fuqua and James Mietchen, Jr. She lived in Baldwin City and Ottawa. Survivors include her mother, Bobby Fuqua of Cottonwood Falls; boyfriend, Brandon Carter of Ottawa; five siblings, Michael Shortino and Alex Shortino both of Cottonwood Falls, Zaden Mietchen, Dakota Mietchen and James Mietchen all of Osage City; maternal grandmother, Cindy Fuqua of Cottonwood Falls; paternal grandparents, Deborah and James Mietchen, Sr. of Baldwin City; two uncles, Justin Mietchen and Crystal Huff of Ottawa and Jay Fuqua also of Ottawa; aunt, Billie Fuqua of Emporia; six cousins, Mary Black, Cory Mietchen, Chris Rudd, Pat Rudd, Kirsten Evans and Dax Fuqua; two nieces, Isabella Thomas and Lydia Howard and nephew, Dragyn Thomas. She was preceded in death by her father, James Mietchen, Jr. Kiffany loved her family and pets and the time they spent together. She enjoyed music and jumping off the trampoline.
