Kenny Shelton, age 80, of Louisburg, KS passed away on December 25, 2011 at his home. He was born in Hazard, KY on April 27, 1931, the son of Bart and Mable (Candler) Shelton. He moved to the Topeka, KS area at the age of 19 then moved to Louisburg in 1971. He was united in marriage to Mary Jo Kueser on April 14, 1970. They had three daughters, Stacy, Dawn and Tina Shelton. Kenny belonged to the National Electrical Workers Union when he came to Louisburg and later joined the International Boilermaker and Blacksmith Union. While working with the boilermakers he traveled the region working on various power plants. After suffering a stroke in 1989 he retired to enjoy attending his daughters sporting and school events as well as going to and participating in Demolition Derbies. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Shelton and her infant daughter, Lexi, granddaughter, Marisa Pool, daughter of Dawn Shelton and sister, Alene Feltner. Kenny is survived by his wife, Mary Jo; daughter, Stacy Lancaster and grandsons, Dylan and Max Lancaster; daughter, Dawn Shelton and grandson, Levi Mathews and granddaughter, Shelby Pool; son, Sherman Shelton and granddaughters, Sonya Ruliz and Lana Shelton and great grandsons, Noah, Tristen and Cooper Hernandez; daughter, Debbie Brinson and grandson, Gannon Brinson; and one sister, Jean Rusk.
