Kenneth "Ken" Hardin

Kenneth Ken Hardin, age 81, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011. He was born on Tuesday, October 28, 1930, in Slater, Missouri. He was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Kansas, moving to Ottawa in 2006. Ken graduated from Slater High School. He was employed at Owens Corning Fiberglass in Kansas City, Kansas forty-one years. Ken served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. On Saturday, December 8, 1951, Ken was united in marriage with Dorothy Irene Stackhaus in Kansas City, Kansas. She preceded him in death on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. He is survived by his: Son-Daniel Hardin of Ottawa, Kansas Daughter-Emilia Hardin of Lawrence, Kansas Grandchild-Charity Rodriguez and her husband, Jason Grandchild-Sarah Hardin Grandchild-Victor Hardin Grandchild-Kristianna Hardin Grandchild-McKenzie Hardin Gt.Grandchild-Damian Hance Gt.Grandchild-Raqual Irene Rodriguez He is preceded in death by his: Wife-Dorothy Irene Hardin Gt.Granddaughter-Raina Rodriquez IN STATE: Mr. Hardin will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 11:00 a.m. Friday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends 6:00 to 8:00 Friday evening. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2011. Cremation will follow services.
