Kenneth Eugene Agnew

Kenneth Eugene Agnew, 89, of Louisburg, Kansas, passed away December 30, 2019, at Brookdale of Shawnee. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 606 S. Elm St. Louisburg, Kansas. Rosary prayed at 10:30 a.m. and the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Louisburg, Kansas. Kenneth was born October 21, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas to Wythe and Mary Agnew. Kenneth graduated from Bishop Ward High School. He served in the United States Army in the Korean War. Kenneth married Mary Louise Soetaert. They were married 68 years. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone as a lineman. Kenneth enjoyed singing, was a member of the choir and the Knights of Columbus. He also enjoyed fishing, swimming, and coaching little league baseball for his sons. Kenneth was proceeded in death by parents, Wythe and Mary. He is survived by his wife Mary, 7 Children, Neal & Mary Agnew, Elizabeth & Larry Zawada, Ann & Pat Carletti, Leo Agnew, John & Dorothy Agnew, Paul & Marisa Agnew, Mark & Pam Agnew, 17 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Ascend Hospice or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
