Kelsy Elizabeth McCurdy, 30, of Williamsburg, Kansas, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020, at AdventHealth of Ottawa. Memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2020, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg. Kelsy was born May 5, 1990, in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Ricky and Michell (Sly) McCurdy. She grew up in Waverly, Kansas, moving to Pomona where she lived 10 years. In 2018, Kelsy moved to Williamsburg, where she made her home until her death. She graduated from Waverly High School with the class of 2008. Kelsy enjoyed playing softball, volleyball and basketball and being on Facebook. Above all, Kelsy loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her father, Ricky McCurdy; paternal grandmother, Susan McCurdy; maternal grandparents, Merrill and Sharon Siebuhr; maternal grandfather, Johnny Sly; and nephew, Karter Rowland. Survivors include her son, Bentley Kirkland of the home; mother, Michell McCurdy of Williamsburg; paternal grandparents, Billy and Lynn McCurdy; two sisters, Rendi McCurdy and fiancé Daniel Rusk of Princeton, and Sydne McCurdy of Williamsburg; niece, Rhettley Rusk and nephew, Abel Rusk.
