With heavy hearts and longing for more time with our loved one, we announce the passing of Keith A Brown on Monday, March 24, 2025. Keith was surrounded by his wife, Marian "Francine", his daughters Tammy & Gina and his granddaughter, Mikayla.
Keith was born in Lawrence, Ks on October 4, 1946, to Emma Irene Smith. Keith was a successful business owner of Classic Shower Door Co., Inc in Overland Park, KS. He cofounded the business 40 years ago and took incredible pride in his craftmanship, workmanship and providing the utmost quality to his customers. Keith had the help and support of family and friends, was a hard worker and had the strength, desire and ability to work long hours to make his idea of having a career of owning his own business become a reality. Even though Keith retired in 2016, the business he built continues to thrive.
Keith was an avid Harley rider for most of his life. Keith made numerous trips to Sturgis and was very proud of the fact that he would never consider hauling his bike on a trailer, he put those miles on his bike with pride and determination. It was Keith's passion for riding that led him to become a member of Eagle Riders. His affiliation with the group ultimately led to the meeting of him and his surviving spouse, Marian.
Keith and Marian put many miles on the bike, supporting various causes and fundraisers, most notably Bikers for Babies. Anyone that knew Keith, was aware how much he greatly enjoyed riding his bike and having his "Ol' Lady" on the back of it, right behind him.
Keith was preceded in death by his sister, Marsha Hytia Brown and his mother, Emma Irene Smith. Keith was a lover of house cats and was also preceded in death by many beloved cats, especially his last two cats, brother & sister, Axel & Alice.
Keith is survived by Marian F. Brown, of the home, daughters Tammy Arlene Graham (Charles "Mike"), Gina Kay Lisher (Craig), stepsons Kent Smith (Jacqueline), Daniel Hughes, and stepdaughter Chrystal Bryant, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Ainsley & Maya.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the large cat sanctuary, Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Excelsior Springs, AR.
A special heartfelt thanks to the staff of Interim Healthcare of Topeka. Their soft, kind and helpful hospice services were a true blessing in helping our loved one reach his final journey.
