Kathy Orr

Kathy Jean Orr, age 66, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away August 29, 2014 at her home. Kathy was born January 23, 1948 in Richland, Missouri. She was the daughter of Floyd Ray and Lois (Spears) Ray Rommelfanger. She and Gary Orr were married and became the parents of two children. Their marriage ended in divorce. Kathy worked as a CNA and CMA in the health care industry. She was forced to quit working due to her son"s disability in 1984. She enjoyed fishing, camping, being a Chiefs" fan, spending time with her grandchildren, and watching humming birds. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Dannie Ray, Brent Rommelfanger, and Monte Gilky. She is survived by her daughter Cassie of the home; her son Cullie of the home; two grandchildren Ieann Walker and Keith Orr; brother Bill Rommelfanger of Missouri and sister Rhonda Tillman of Independence, Missouri; other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Kathy Orr Memorial Fund which can be sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 605 O"Neal Ave., Osawatomie, KS, 66064.
