Kathy Elaine Wilson

Kathy E. (Steele) Wilson, 49, Quenemo, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at the Brookside Retirement Community, Overbrook. She was born March 3, 1958, at Eudora, to Robert and Gerri (Rowe) Steele. She grew up in the Appanoose community and was a near lifelong resident of Ottawa and Quenemo. For a short time, she resided in Steeleville, Missouri and Topeka, Kansas. Kathy attended Appanoose Grade School, graduated from Pomona High School with the class of 1977 and attended Topeka Technical Nursing School. For the past twelve years, Kathy has been employed as a cashier for McDonald`s in Ottawa. She was a member of Appanoose Baptist Church and Helen Keller Organization. Survivors include her parents, Overbrook; a daughter, Natasha Steele, Virginia Beach, Va.; a son, Jason Steele, Ottawa; a brother, William Wayne Steele, Kansas City, Kan.; a sister, Pam Finch, Ottawa; one granddaughter, one niece and one nephew. SERVICES: Memorial Services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2007. IN STATE: Cremation is planned. INURNMENT: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.
