Kathrine M. “Kathy” Durbin, 59, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at The University of Kansas Health System.

Kathy was born May 6, 1963, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Billie and Beverly (Van Poucker) Powers.
She lived in Ottawa since 2011 moving from Angola, Indiana where she lived for many years.
She graduated from Reading, Michigan High School with the class of 1981.
On May 16, 2015, Kathy was united in marriage to Craig Durbin in Ottawa.
She was employed in nursing homes as a CNA in the 1980’s; New Horizons Bakery, Freemont, Indiana from the early 1990’s to early 2000’s; Tenneco Automotive, Angola, Indiana in production/heavy duty operator from the early 2000’s to 2011; and COF Training Service, Ottawa, as a direct service provider.
Kathy enjoyed crafts, family, friends, and helping others. She was a very loving, outgoing, and thoughtful person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Christine Ann Meyer.
Survivors include her husband Craig Durbin; parents, Billie and Beverly Powers of Coldwater, Michigan; four children, Paul (Stevey) Powers of Angola, Indiana, Bruce Powers also of Angola, Willie (John) Ruder of Wichita, Kansas, and Trista Shain of Derby, Kansas; two siblings, Keith (Tanya) Powers of Concord, Michigan, and Nancy (Darrell) Carr of Coldwater, Michigan; and six grandchildren, Zane, Paxton Ann, Oliver Neil, Reece, Emerson Ann, and Emberly Dawn; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
