Kathleen M. Bessenbacher

Kathleen M. Bessenbacher, 86, of Independence, MO died Monday, January 10, 2011, of a massive stroke at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, MO. Kathleen was born and raised in Bucyrus, KS, the daughter of Beal B. Furgason and Edna L. Oldham Furgason. She spent her adult life in the Kansas City and Independence, Missouri area. She was employed at General Motors " Leeds Plant for 32 years in data processing. She married John David Bessenbacher who preceded her in death. They had one daughter, Jacquelyn Sue Mahr. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Clara Mae West, Ernestine Witt and Wynema Colson. Survivors include her daughter Jacquelyn Sue Mahr and husband Frederick Creston Mahr of Bartlett, TN. One grandson, Robert Scott Mahr and wife Kristina Renee Mahr of Lakeland, TN. Nieces and nephews, Ed West and and wife Roxie, Spring Hill, KS; Rita Garcia and husband Vincent, John Colson and Angela McKay and husband Pete all of Lee"s Summit. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at Penwell Gable Louisburg Chapel. Burial will be in Bucyrus Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time Friday at the chapel.
