Katherine Marie Foster

Katherine Marie Foster, 61, of Paola, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at her home. She was born Tuesday, October 6, 1959, in Emporia, KS, the daughter of Nicholas B. Jr. and Anna (Jeck) Morris. She graduated from Northern Heights High School in Allen, Kansas. She attended Kansas City College of Medical and Dental Assistants receiving her diploma from there as a dental assistant. She later continued her education at Fort Scott Community College earning her Associates Degree. She was married to Randy Foster in September of 1979 in Paola. They made their home in Paola and became the parents of two sons Josh and Luke. The marriage ended in divorce. Kathy worked for the Johnson County Government and Miami County Government, retiring after 35 years in April of 2019. She worked in the payroll department and also as a personnel coordinator. She enjoyed fun times with her family, riding motorcycles, boating, wake boarding, listening to live music, and helping others/volunteer work. She was preceded in death by her father and sister Lisa Duncan. Survivors include two sons Josh Foster and Lucas Foster both of Gardner; 4 grandchildren Trek Alan, Trace Randall, Talon Burk and Raina Marie; her mother Anna Mae Morris of Allen, Kansas; and her brother Kyle Morris of Reading, Kansas. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date by the family.
