June A. Schulz, 96, of Ottawa, formerly of Rantoul, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Rock Creek of Ottawa. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 4th, at the mortuary. Interment Ruhamah Cemetery, Rantoul, Kansas. June was born September 19, 1923 in Farlinville, Kansas, the daughter of Richard and Martha (Eyer) Johnson. She was a lifelong Rantoul area resident. June was united in marriage to Albert Wayne Schulz March 12, 1943 in Olathe, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Jackie Schulz; two grandsons, Wayne David Schulz and Raymond Dean Schulz; and five brothers. Survivors include her six children, Robert Schulz and wife Pam of Ottawa, Edward Schulz of Rantoul, Leota Montgomery and husband Kenny of Ottawa, James Schulz and wife Earlene of Rantoul, David Schulz and wife Vicki of Rantoul, and Victor Schulz of Vassar; daughter-in-law, Robin Schulz of Williamsburg; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren. June was a loving and devoted homemaker who always looked forward to spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was also a people person who enjoyed being with her friends, crocheting, crafts, and was a great cook known for her peanut brittle and sweet rolls. She was a member of the Ruhamah Baptist Church.
