Judy A. Zook

Judy A. Zook, 63, Ottawa, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at Ransom Memorial Hospital. She was born May 15, 1942, at Fontana to Lloyd and Mable (Ewbanks) Geiger. She lived in Ottawa since 1963, moving from Paola where she was raised. She graduated from Paola High School in 1960. She worked for Mode O'Day and H.D. Lee in Ottawa as a sewing machine operator and at Davol, Lawrence, a medical business. She retired in 1995. She married George A. Zook Sr. Jan. 3, 1978, in Lawrence. He survives. Survivors also include a son, Larry Harris, Garnett; daughters Penny Schulz, Ottawa; and Laura Zook, Ottawa; stepchildren, Barbara Curtis, Ottawa; George Zook Jr., Ottawa; Terry Zook, Garnett; Wanda, Burlington; sisters, Viola Neland, Ruth Hines and Ruby Mattison; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren and 20 step-great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2006. Cremation is planned. Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, at a later date.
