Judith W. “Judy” Bush, 77, of Topeka, Kansas, died Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Aldersgate Village Health Unit, Topeka. Family will meet with friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Graveside inurnment will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 22, 2020 at Central Cemetery in Franklin County with services by the Order of the Eastern Star. Judy was born April 19, 1943 in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of William and Marie (Hoadley) Hull. She lived twenty-one years in Ottawa and then in the Williamsburg, Kansas area for fifty years. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1961 and then court reporting school. Judy was united in marriage with Roger L. Bush February 9, 1962 at Ottawa. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Marie Hull. Survivors include her son, Thayne (Stephanie) Bush of Alma, Kansas; daughter, Deborah K. “Debbie” (Scott) Cooper of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister, Janice (Hull) Randel of Mesa, Arizona; two grandchildren, Jacob Bush of Shawnee, Kansas, and Jessica (Rick) Ballard of Glenpool, Oklahoma; and two great grandchildren. Judy worked thirty-two years as a legal assistant for the State of Kansas, retiring in 2004. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than fifty years, serving as a state officer and local chapter officer; taught a legal secretary’s class and was a professional legal secretary.
