Judith (Judy) Lynne Flint Jeck, 88, of Paola, KS passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024 at her home.
She was born on November 5, 1935 in Humboldt, KS in her grandparents' home to Jesse and Edna Allyne (Jeffers) Flint .
Judy began her long career starting at Citizens State Bank and went on to work at an abstracting office. She took time off work to focus on family and home. She returned to work as an Administrative Assistant for the Miami County Attorney at the Miami County Courthouse for 10 years where she was also a Court Transcriber and continued working on court transcripts until the age of 82.
Judy and Leo started dating at the end of their junior year of high school and dated for 3 years before being married on February 22, 1955 in Iola, KS. Judy and Leo were a loving couple for 72 years and were married for 69 years. The couple lived in Colorado Springs, Co and would then make their home in Paola. Judy's greatest joy in life was raising her 3 children. She enjoyed spending her time doing many volunteer projects with Shamrock Study Club and as the church organist at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Paola for more than 45 years. She later played the organ at St. Phillip Neri in Osawatomie. She spent her free time sewing, and loved making clothing for her children and later made beautiful craft items for gifts, especially at Christmas. Judy was a sports enthusiast and loved the New Dinner Theater.
Judy was a member of the Spring Hill Festival Choral Society and the Eighth Notes Concert Ensemble.
Judy is survived by her husband of the home, Leo Jeck, three children, Tracy Kramer, Stacy McClintic (Jeff Romero) and Jeff Jeck. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Edna Allyne Gough, father Jesse B. Flint, step-mother Ora Flint, son-in-law Jerol Kramer, and granddaughter-in- law Toni Spoor Sharp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church-Paola for a new piano or to St. Neri Catholic Church in Osawatomie c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary-Paola Chapel 305 N. Pearl St. Paola, KS 66071.
