Juanita June (Niedermaier) Lewis passed away on June 22, 2014 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita, Kansas. Juanita was born on March 12, 1932 to William Paul and Florence Irene (Chamberlain) Niedermaier-Hostetler in Louisburg, Kansas. She attended Nazarene Church in Louisburg and went to school in Louisburg for six months. She then went to school in Paola. Juanita was saved in the Pilgrim Holiness Church, Paola, Kansas at the age of six. While attending the Church of God Holiness, God called her to preach when she was ten years old. She preached her first sermon lasting 45 minutes during a young peoples" meeting. Juanita, her mother and her sister Ruth moved to Endicott, New York arriving by train on March 10, 1944. There she attended Loder Avenue School and Binghamton North High School. In 1945, she was a student at the first youth camp on record in this county. While living in New York, they attended the City Rescue Mission and other churches in the triple city area. She was united in marriage to Arnold Le Roy Lewis on September 16, 1948 in Binghamton, New York at the City Rescue Mission. They were blessed with five children. In August of 1971 they moved to Nevada, Missouri. There Juanita attended night school from 1980 " 1982 and received her G.E.D. She also attended several churches in the area; Lighthouse Mission, Westside Church of God Holiness, Deerfield Church of God Holiness, and Lowry City Church of God Holiness. In May of 2012 Juanita moved to Wichita, KS to live with her daughter Sherrie until her death. While living in Wichita, she attended Woodland Church of God Holiness. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters Charlotte Louise and Laurie; and a great granddaughter Jennie. She is survived by her children Sherrie Mareda Lewis of Wichita, KS, Thomas Paul Lewis of Hindsville, AR, and Ronald Roy Lewis of Anderson, MO, her sister Ruth Lewis of Johnson City, NY and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
