Juanita L. Turner

Juanita L. (Mitchell) Turner, age 93, of Roeland Park, Kan., died Friday, August 6, 2004, at Garden Terrace Of Overland Park ,Kan. She was the daughter of the late Edmund Mitchell and the late Rozina (Yates) Mitchell. She is survived by her One Daughter, Shirley (Turner) Smart of Roeland Park, Kan. After marriage, she lived with her husband on the family farm in Centropolis, Kansas. The past fifteen years, she has made her home in Roeland Park, Kansas. She was a lifelong homemaker. She attended North Baptist Church in Ottawa. On June 23, 1931, Juanita was united in marriage with Porter Turner at Ottawa, Kansas. He preceded her in death on August 15, 1972. SERVICES: Family and friends will meet for graveside services at Highland Cemetery 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 9, 2004. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Rev. Matthew Benorden. IN STATE: Mrs. Turner will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 p.m. Sunday to the service hour. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.
