Joy Jean Haefele

Joy Jean Haefele, age 59, passed away March 16, 2016 at her home after a short battle with cancer. Joy was born February 26, 1957 to Vincent and Marie Gallagher Haefele in Paola, Kansas. Joy was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She enjoyed sewing and embroidering and had embroidered quilts for each of her three granddaughters. Joy enjoyed going to watch her granddaughters" dance recitals every year. She loved spending time with family and friends and watching her grandkids grow up. Joy was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Joe Haefele. She is survived by her longtime companion Randy Kraus, of Lane, KS; son Chad Haefele (Jennifer) of Osawatomie, KS; daughter Donna Irby (Johnny) of Osawatomie, KS; brothers John Haefele of Paola, KS and Jim Haefele of Overland Park, KS; sister Pat Nelson of Sacramento, CA; and grandchildren Haley, Samantha, Bryce, Alyssa, and Chase.
