Joseph T. McGuirk of Louisburg, Ks passed away Nov. 1, 2007. Joe was born April 18, 1915 to Terrence and Ida McGuirk, the third of 4 children. He lived in Louisburg all of his 92 years. His service commitment to helping others started with the Civil Conservation Corp. He then went on to serve his country in World War II by joining the United States Army. After returning from the war he married LaRaine Rosner and began raising a family. He went on to purchase Rosner Motor Co. which later became McGuirk Ford. Joe was a prominent community leader and served his town by holding many offices including several terms as mayor, fire chief and city councilman. Joe"s hard work and dedication helped shape his community with improvement and updates. He served in many capacities with the American Legion but most enjoyed being Sergeant of Arms. He was a true Irishman devoted to church and family. He will be missed by those who loved him most, his three children, Steve McGuirk, Lisa Endecott and Kelly McGuirk, 3 grandchildren, Tara Fitzgerald, Keely Daly, Kelsey McGuirk and 3 great grandchildren, Colin Fitzgerald, Liam Daly & Delaney Fitzgerald.
