Joseph "Joey" Hill

Joseph “Joey” Hill, 35, of Pomona, Kansas died Friday, August 23, 2013 at KU Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 6:30 P.M. Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Hill at Dengel & Son Mortuary from 9:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Wednesday, to the service hour where the family will meet with friends at 5:30 P.M. Wednesday prior to service. Following services cremation is planned. Celebration of Life service will be held in Vincennes, Indiana, at a later date. Joey was born on Monday, January 30, 1978 in Vincennes, Indiana. He was the son of Don and Cheryl (Rayburn) Hill. Growing up in Vincennes, Joey then moved to Franklin County where he has lived for the past fourteen years. On March 23, 2013 Joey was united in marriage with Cheryl Bond in Ottawa, Kansas. She survives of the home. Other survivors include eight children, Faith, Kody, Keggin and Keara Hill, Desiree, Abagail, Shane and Jayden Bryan; parents, Don and Cheryl Hill; two brothers, Jason Hill and wife Misti, and Josh Hill all of Vincennes; adopted sister, Amber Dennison; several nieces and nephews; four aunts, Anita Billings of Greentown, Indiana, Doris Wood, Carla Speth, and Darleana Butler all of Vincennes; uncle, Harold Hill of Vincennes; mother and father-in-law, Linda and Albert Bond of Ottawa; sisters-in-law, Pam Adams, Vicki Diaz, and Bev Ferris. Joey was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Louis and Betty Rayburn; paternal grandparents, Pete and Margie Hill; and uncle, Steven Rayburn. Joey worked for Wal-Mart stores for eighteen years, and Dale Willey Automotive for three years. He was a member and vice president of the Lyons Club in Vincennes.
